Temporary Parking Lot Closure: Beginning Monday, October 12, 2026

The public parking lot at the corner of Avenue A SW and 3rd Street SW will temporarily close beginning Monday, October 12.

The lot, which contains approximately 10 parking spaces, will be used by the construction contractor for equipment, materials, and staging.

We understand that losing these parking spaces creates an inconvenience for nearby businesses, customers, and visitors. However, using this space as a staging area will help minimize the need for more disruptive closures along Central Avenue and 3rd Street SW.

Alternate parking locations are available at the free Parking Garage on the corner of Ave A NW and 3rd Street NW as well as the public lot on the corner of Ave A SW and 2nd St SW.
