Stormwater Management Bylaw Approval
Somerset Needs Area Sewer Extension & Roadway Improvement Project
The Somerset Needs Area Sewer Extension & Roadway Improvement Project involves the design and implementation of wastewater, water main, drainage, and roadway improvements to expand sewer service and enhance infrastructure in the Somerset Needs Area.
Green Infrastructure Feasibility Study
The Nantucket Island Land Bank (NLB) and the Town of Nantucket Sewer and Stormwater Department (TON SSD) are applying for funding from the SNEP Stormwater and Natural Infrastructure Grant.
South Shore Road Gravity Sewer Extension
Phase I of the South Shore Road Gravity Sewer Extension Project involved the installation of a “dry” gravity sewer main on South Shore Road. Phase II – the installation of a pump station to activate this new main – is currently in the preliminary phases of funding and design.
Sea Street 3rd Sewer Force Main Project
The Town is implementing a sewer project that will include the installation of a new sewer force main that will connect the Sea Street Pump Station (SSPS) to the Surfside Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF).

The current phase of the Capacity Management Operations and Maintenance (CMOM) Repair Replacement Project focuses on the replacement of deteriorated and/or undersized sewer pipes.
