Help plan the future of Apple Ave in Muskegon, MI.

As we plan for the next five years, community feedback is very important. A short public survey and community conversations help us understand what residents think is working well and what needs improvement. Anyone can take part, whether you live, work, or spend time in the area.

The City of Muskegon has received a request from a private company to install a cell tower at Marsh Field (1800 Peck St).

The project includes resurfacing the entire length of Western Avenue from 8th Street to Terrace Street.

The city will be rehabilitating Lakeshore Drive from Beach Street (the roundabout) to Sherin Street (Frosty Cove). Learn more about the project here!

Parkland Properties is in the final stages of getting approvals for Phase 1 of the project. This first phase will feature single-family, owner-occupied homes along the waterfront.

Updates to the City of Muskegon’s Master Land Use Plan are fairly regular, but the last major rewrite of the Plan occurred in 1997. With an effort beginning in 2019, the City of Muskegon Planning Department has been working on a comprehensive rewrite of the Master Plan.
