Water Treatment Plant Development
Responsibility for potable water, wastewater, and sewer treatment will be transferred from Mondi – the pulp mill owner - to the Town. That includes building a new Town-owned water treatment plant by 2046.

Residential Housing Infill Strategy
The Town of Hinton needs more housing. The most cost effective way of increasing housing options is to rezone lots within Town boundaries which already have road access and underground services.

Budget 2025
Every year, Council approves the Town of Hinton’s budget for the following year. In December 2024, Council approved a $34.5 million Operating Budget and $41.7 million Capital Planning Budget.
