Our Westminster - Register of Active Residents

Sign up to the Register of Active Residents by answering a few quick questions here.

About the project

The Register of Active Residents is moving to make it easier to get involved! Stay tuned for more information coming soon.

Let's shape the future of Westminster together! Share your local knowledge, lived experience and skills by signing up to the Register of Active Residents

This Register helps us ensure that our communities are more involved in the council's work, alongside our officers and local councillors. By registering you can:

  • propose ideas and co-design solutions to improve your community
  • contribute to the development of services and programmes
  • better understand how the council works and hold decision-makers to account
  • participate in community events and development programmes
  • share local knowledge

There are many ways you can get involved if you live, work, volunteer or study in Westminster. For example, you can influence decisions through assemblies, participate in recruitment panels, co-design services and share your experience in focus groups and surveys.

To thank you for participating in activities, we may offer vouchers, free training, reimburse travel expenses, host celebrations and provide certificates to show your involvement. You will also be notified about community events and have access to My Skills Zone, with thousands of bitesize training courses. If there's something else you need from us, just ask!

Greening Westminster

Since 2017, we have been working to empower community groups across the borough to deliver greening projects to ensure fairer access to high-quality green spaces.

Year after year there has been an increase in greening projects delivered by the community such as Covent Garden Playground and Children's Nature Garden, St John's Church Grounds in Kensal Green, and The Onion Garden in Victoria, to name a few.

The Greening Westminster applications are now open. If you are interested in delivering a greening project please submit a simple expression of interest form. You will then be given the opportunity to discuss your idea with officers and to tell us if you need any support to submit a full application.
